Hi, I’m Clare.

I’m the multi-award-winning founder and director of UK Ducks In A Row Ltd!

Before I launched my virtual assistance business during the global pandemic I knew that there were opportunities in the virtual world. However, I totally underestimated just how much demand there would be for these types of services from organisations just like yours.

In 2020 I set up Clare Lucas Real Business Solutions, offering virtual assistance to business owners. Within a year I was working at full capacity and quickly realised that I needed to grow a team. So I did. I’ve grown a team of amazingly talented individuals whose skill sets complement mine.

My business has been through a period of rapid growth, so I know what you’re going through. The excited emotions, the overwhelming days, the never ending to-do lists, and if you’re a solopreneur the loneliness that comes with it. This is why I and the team are so well-equipped to assist and support your growth.

Clare Lucas Real Business Solutions morphed into much more than a traditional virtual assistance business that many think of as, well, admin. I’ve been able to utilise my project coordination, business consultancy, and event management skills to help people just like you.

We now don’t work solely with businesses. We work with businesses, charities, CIC’s and film productions.

The business organically evolved and after strategy and planning sessions UK Ducks In A Row was born.

Why Ducks In A Row?

Because we help you get your ducks in a row no matter what organisation you work for. We help get processes, procedures, and admin streamlined. We get your ducks in a row to make planning, projects, and events run smoothly.

We are outsourcing specialists for all of your projects, events, business, and administration needs. We call upon excellent partners in our network for service areas we don’t offer in-house. If you are looking for a videographer, photographer, digital expert, outsourced HR specialist, business finance, or something else, we’ve got you covered.

We make outsourcing easy.

Background

In 1999 I secured my place at University for an art and design degree but deferred the place and took off to America to work at a Girl Scout summer camp in New Hampshire. I returned wanting to explore and see more of the world so although I never made it to university for a fear of not wanting to get into debt, I worked hard and travelled for a couple of years around New Zealand and Australia. When I returned and finally settled down I took on my dream job as a travel consultant where I quickly became known locally as the Australia and New Zealand specialist, loving nothing more than recommending destinations and hotels and helping people book their dream holidays. I was lucky enough to win many prizes in this job to destinations around the world all expenses paid. Australia, Singapore, Iceland, Cyprus, Madeira, Guernsey, and Croatia to name a few. Those were the days!

Since then, I’ve had a squiggly career working as a sales manager for a travel company for 3 years. Following my first stint of maternity leave I took time out to spend with my family. After that I spent 8 years in total working for local government: 5 years as an Executive Assistant, 2 years seconded into a digital transformation team as a project coordinator and 1 year seconded into a strategic communications role. In 2017 I left local government and joined a coach company as part of their SLT for 3 years as head of products, contracts, sales, and marketing. I have a proven track record of boosting profit and performance while identifying and launching new services. My honest and transparent approach has been instrumental in cultivating positive, long-term strategic and client relationships.

I’m a wife, mum of a sixteen-year-old son, eleven-year-old daughter, and half pug, half sausage dog fur baby living near the beautiful Suffolk coast. In my spare time I LOVE to travel, every couple of months we take time away to make memories.
